Carpentry Essential – 14Ga. 2-1/2″ Pneumatic Concrete nailer
Apply to Joining wood strips, Iron sheet to cement.
It is primarily used for joining structural corner pieces with cement walls, floors, or C-shaped steel. Steel nail guns are widely utilized in various woodworking applications, including wooden ceilings, partition walls, wall wood panels, high-rise wooden floors, skeleton fastening of internal corners in ceilings, and nailing 12mm baseboards and corner pieces in high-rise wooden flooring. However, it is not recommended to use a steel nail gun for joining integrated corner pieces. This is because the nail gun can damage the glued plywood structure of integrated corner pieces, resulting in insufficient fastening strength and potential cracking.
The Concrete Nailer is compatible with two types of nails: ‘T‘ nails and ‘FST‘ steel nails.
The ‘T’ nails are used for joining wooden materials to wood. For example, they are suitable for nailing together solid wood corner pieces or attaching veneer boards to solid wood corners. The hardware lengths for ‘T’ nails commonly used in woodworking are generally categorized as follows: T64/57/50/45/38/32/25/18/15.
- T64 is used for fastening the skeleton structure of internal corners in ceilings and floors.
- T45/38 are mostly used in the joining of wood core boards.
- T32 is used for nailing 12mm baseboards and corner pieces in high-rise wooden flooring.
Note: The ‘T’ nails are specific to wood-to-wood connections in various woodworking applications.
The ‘FST’ steel nails are designed for fastening wooden materials to cement walls and wooden materials to C-shaped steel structures. For example, they are used for securing corner pieces around ceilings, fixing partition walls between cement walls and floors, and nailing corner pieces of lower-level ceilings to C-shaped steel in mezzanine structures.
The hardware lengths for ‘FST’ steel nails commonly used in woodworking are generally categorized as follows: FST64/57/50/45/38/32/25/18/15.
- FST50 is primarily used when securing corner pieces to softer cement walls.
- FST45 is applied in fixing corner pieces to walls.
- FST38/32 are generally used for fastening wood core boards to walls.
- FST25/18 are used for securing veneer boards to walls.

Small reminder :
If the air compressor lacks power, the nail head may protrude when nailing into cement walls. At this point, it can be challenging to hammer it in with a hammer. It is advisable to use the nail gun right after the air compressor has freshly pressurized, as it will have maximum pressure.
